A "Hot" Ride in November

It was a beautiful blue sky spring day with the promise of high temperatures ....and it didn't disappointment us as we circle through the hinterland from Canungra, Beachmont, Binna Burra and Mt Tamborine.
We appreciated some relief as we wound our way up from the valley's.
We were greeted by some great views and open roads... obviously a little too hot for some.

bikes all lined and keened for a run
Riders head for the shade!
We welcomed Brett back with his new Honda...so gorgeous (can I say that?)...and yes, I forgive him for selling his Kwaka 900

So some 16 bikes and 18 bikers headed off for Canungra and a late breakfast at the Outpost
riding past some of Canungra's horse studs

After some good food top up we headed off up the beachmont road to Binna Burra  for some cooler temperature...good views and food of course.

couldn't resist the opportunity for a selfie with a few of the bikers at the Binna Burra cafe.
On a hot day what else could we have but a nice cold ice cream... now I must confess that it was my cornetto , not leigh's though he did seem tempted !

I was a little intrigued by Leo's perch at the cafe...but it was just to get a good photo.
Off we headed back along Beachmont road and down into into the scorching heat of the day.

no hang gliders on this hot day...no wind

Back up Henri Roberts drive to Mt Tamborine ...a little cooler temp and a great view at the lookout.
Tim had his daughter and mate along and enjoy a quick pic at the Mt Tamborine look out.

After a quick look it was off for the twisty ride down Mount Tamborine for lunch (yes we do like our food) at the Bearded Dragon at Tamborine ...and yes, it was hot and we chose the air conditioned inside for some relief.
